First time seeing Dr. Sloas. I did feel a bit rushed since I’m new to the eye doctor and don’t know the optical verbiage or procedure. Would have appreciated a bit more time and explanation. I didn’t even have to read the letters through the lens. It was more of like which line of letters do you see better? Never experienced this from an eye doctor in the past. He did refer me to a specialist for a possible condition which I thank him for. I wish I would have experienced the kind, patient and bedside manner doctor described on these comments. He wasn’t rude just made me feel like a number. Haven’t received my glasses so don’t know how the prescription worked out.

I have been going to Dr. Elliott Sloas for years. He is knowledgeable, professional, and personable. I wear contacts and his practice has the largest selection of contacts I have ever seen. I also appreciate the fact he has a high resolution camera to take a picture of my eye, instead of having to be dilated. This is an additional small charge, but well worth it in my opinion. Best of all, I can walk out and purchase my contacts from Costco.

I’ve been coming here for years for my glasses and contact prescriptions and have always had a great experience. My eye doctor couldn’t see me until March and I got an appointment here the next day. I never have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen and the appointment is always very quick and efficient. I paid out of pocket because I thought my insurance wasn’t accepted but realized a little while after it was. The receptionist called me back within 30 min and had already refunded my credit card with the difference and made updates. Will be back!

My husband and I truly appreciate Dr. Sloas! He saw I had an eye condition and turned me in the right direction to get the help I needed. He also is keeping a check on several things that could down the line crop up. We trust him! PLZ NEVER DO ANY TEST HERE
I asked for a contact lens on Dec 28th and they guaranteed that the sample will be ready in one week. To ensure, I asked the front desk if my sample will come by Jan 15th and their answer is “Of course”. Then we paid for it.

However, on Jan 19, we still haven’t received any sample and we had to leave Orlando. We visited their department and they were super rude. Also, they refused that they had done any promises. In addition, before asking the manager, they refused for any kind of refund, even not the partial refund

After the manager involving, we received a small portion of refund and eye-glass prescription. However, what we want is the contact lens prescription. The eye-glass exam is just something “might be” useful for contact lens in future (in their words).

Overall, we paid a lot of money, and did an almost useless eye exam, which totally doesn’t meet our requirements.

Thanks for reading. There are lots of better doctors and, please don’t waste money and time here.
